Very nice restaurant, the atmosphere is inviting. The food is delicious, the staff is very friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

the noodles are good and the service is okay. it's a good hearty bowl during any seasons.

I used to eat here a lot and loved their spicy lamb rice noodles. Portion size is fair and it tasted great. The broth is the essence of the dish and they do a great job with the spices to make it numbing and spicy. I normally do not enjoy spicy broth but this is an exception. The lamb is braised well and slides right off the bones. I stopped coming here after I saw that they got a C on their food inspection. It's actually really hard to get a C (the kitchen/restaurant has to fail a lot of items) so it was concerning that Yun Nan had a C. I never had diarrhea or any problems after eating here but knowing that grade makes me uncomfortable. I hope they can address all the issues and get a better grade next year.

It is a true hole in the wall flavor bomb restaurant. Looks and decor can be ignored. Just order the food and enjoy the amazing flavors.

This is a cozy little restaurant my bf took me to on Tuesday. Honestly to say when you go inside you think the food wouldn't be up to par but trust me it's worth it coming here. The owner made us some soup made from scratch with his best selling cucumber with chili oil. He was very sweet and the food was amazing. The broth was fresh with fish, beef, cilantro and green onion and paired really well with the cucumber since that was cold. Service was great and Definitely will be a favorite in Chinatown Brooklyn. Will come back :)

I have been hankering for good Yunnan rice noodle for months, and this hole-in-the-wall noodle spot finally indulged my cravings. They really need to hire a better person to translate their menu into English properly... #9 Rice Noodle w/ Lu Mein 滷米線 $8.25 The first one is dry noodle with braised pork and cilantro, and it was right up my alley with its flavorful sauce. Few months ago you def won't catch me eating cilantro, but now I have higher acceptance of its pungent taste. I added some chilli oil yet it wasn't spicy enough and only gave a slight numbing sensation. #11 Rice Noodle w/ Crispy Meat Sauce 脆腸米線 $8.75 The second bowl is rice noodle soup with crispy pork intestine. I don't eat intestines, but my company had high praise on them, saying they were clean and crispy. Their rice noodles were perfectly cooked and carried a bouncy texture. We were surprised that we didn't feel thirsty after slurping the entire bowl, which means their rice noodles weren't salty and didn't have MSG.

The ingredients come on a plate - a quail egg, slices of pork, 4 pieces of black chicken, bean sprouts and dried tofu skins. The cooked noodles are served in a bowl. Then a large bowl of piping hot broth follows. The ingredients are put into the broth bowl. Once the meat is cooked to your liking, then you are ready to eat. It's like eating a bowl of hot pot.

This is a Yunnan rice noodle shop that specializes in crossing the bridge noodles (a Yunnan delicacy). The crossing the bridge noodles are served with raw meat that's cooked in the piping hot broth that comes to your table. If that's not your thing, you also can't go wrong with any of the other rice noodles dishes on the menu. Most are noodle soups but there are a couple of brothless noodles that are perfect for summer. Prices are very low (most noodle dishes are sub-$10) but they're cash only so come prepared.

Traveled over 1.5 hours to check this spot out and was not disappointed. Got both their lamb and beef crossing the bridge noodles which were so fresh and abundantly flavorful. Was too full to try their dumplings but will have to next time as they also looked so good! The place was packed when we came despite it being a pretty late lunch. The entire time we were there, there was a revolving line of people coming in, waiting to be seated, getting takeout, so you know this place is happening!!! The noodles took maybe 15 or so min to prep given the place was so busy. They give you all the ingredients to mix in separately (meat, veggies, noodle, etc.). The soup then came in a piping hot bowl with waiters bringing them out using rubber gloves. I think you're supposed to add the ingredients in yourself but we looked confused so someone came and helped us - for future reference you add all the meats and veggies and mix and then quickly add in the noodles. Everything was so flavorful and had a strong white pepper flavor. If you're not a fan of pepper maybe get a different noodle but I loved it. Reminded me a bit of pho but I loved it way more (and learned Yunan is near Vietnam haha). It's definitely got hole-in-the-wall vibes and is a no frills spot but they care a lot about their food and it definitely shows. Love love this spot and will definitely be back!

Nothing fancy about this place but a big bowl of noodles for $14 is a pretty good deal for Chinatown, Brooklyn. I ordered: Cross the Bridge Rice Noodles and my friend got the same version but with short rib. We took our time eating it since it was freezing weather that day and there weren't many people at the restaurant. It's a few tables inside and it's one of those places where you pop in to eat and you pop out. I would like to come back and try other soup noodle dishes on the menu next time.
